Our Team

Rich specializes in both planning and tax-related matters as well as being actively involved in his clients’ businesses and their accounting needs. His practice is comprised of high net worth individuals and their closely held businesses. He has a great deal of experience in the fields of agriculture, real estate development, manufacturing, professional services, as well as trust and estates. In addition, he is active in helping clients to resolve tax issues through representation before the Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board. Rich gets great satisfaction from solving problems and developing beneficial solutions for his clients.

Rich is one of the partners in charge of the tax department and oversees the firm’s policies and procedures related to tax processing and the e-filing program. He also enjoys being a mentor to staff.

Rich earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University San Jose. In 1994, he received his CPA license and joined Bowman in 1995 after working for a local firm in San Jose.

Unplugged: Rich was an early entrepreneur. At the age of 9, he arose at 5:00 am to deliver newspapers in his hometown of Fremont. By the time he was 15 he was filling out his own tax return forms. “I liked doing it so much I asked my family if I could complete their returns, as well. I should have read the writing on the wall.”
