She has assisted developers, syndicators, and financial professionals with structuring transactions in numerous jurisdictions to maximize tax benefits for the investors, and provide the most effective use of leverage in delivering affordable units to benefit the needs of low income tenants. She has served as an expert witness in accounting matters, and leads our firm’s practice in the audits of cost certifications. In addition to her work in affordable housing, she has significant experience in working with conventional real estate developers, construction contractors, and nonprofit organizations.
Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in accounting from California State University Stanislaus in 1998. She is a dedicated professional who believes in being a hard worker but not being too hard on herself. Her favorite quote is, “You are smarter than you think, braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem.”
Nicole lives in her hometown of Stockton, California, with her husband, stepson, daughter, and their three dogs. She enjoys hanging out with family and cheering at her daughter’s swim meets in her free time. Nicole and her family faithfully visit Mickey in Disneyland every year and are experts in seeing the entire park within a limited budget. She is also an avid fan of NBA basketball, especially the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors.
