We are proud to recognize nine professionals who have reached an exciting new milestone in their careers. Each has taken a different path, developed unique areas of expertise, and made their own impact on our firm. Allison Vela | Senior Supervisor

Congratulations to Allison Vela on her promotion from Supervisor to Senior Supervisor!

A member of our tax team specializing in partnerships, Allison approaches her career with a willingness to keep learning and embrace new opportunities. As she steps into her new role, she is looking forward to continuing to expand her tax knowledge and take on new challenges.

Her advice to others reflects the mindset that has helped guide her own growth: never stop asking questions, remain open to feedback, and recognize that change can bring new opportunities. Outside of work, Allison enjoys cheering on her kids at their soccer games and spending time with her family at Disney.

Chris Buzo | Senior Supervisor

Congratulations to Chris Buzo on his promotion from Supervisor to Senior Supervisor!

As a member of Bowman’s Tax Department, Chris is looking forward to using his new role to contribute even more to the firm’s goals, culture, and values. His approach to professional growth is also rooted in the people around him. His advice is to surround yourself with people who are driven, motivated, and genuinely want to see you succeed.

Rashid Khan, CPA | Senior Supervisor

We are pleased to celebrate Rashid Khan, CPA, on his promotion from Supervisor to Senior Supervisor!

Throughout his career with Bowman, Rashid has contributed to both our Tax and Audit teams, building a breadth of experience that he will carry forward into his new role. As Senior Supervisor, he will take on more advanced work while providing a higher level of leadership and support to others.

Outside the office, Rashid values time with his family and enjoys traveling to visit family abroad. We are thankful for the experience and perspective he brings to Bowman and proud to celebrate this well-earned promotion. Congratulations, Rashid!

Lauren Bertrand, CPA | Senior Supervisor

Congratulations to Lauren Bertrand, CPA, on her promotion from Supervisor to Senior Supervisor!

Lauren specializes in tax services, with particular expertise in pass-through entities and high-net-worth individuals. In her new role, she is looking forward to further developing her mentorship skills while becoming more involved in business development. Her advice to those building their careers is to remain curious, understand the “why” behind their work, and take time to see the bigger picture.

That curiosity extends beyond the office as well. Lauren enjoys watching sports, trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors with her Labradors, and playing tabletop games. We are excited to see Lauren continue developing as both a professional and a mentor at Bowman. Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion!

Martha Elizondo, CPA | Senior Supervisor

We are proud to congratulate Martha Elizondo, CPA, on her promotion from Supervisor to Senior Supervisor!

Martha specializes in for-profit audits, with a focus on construction engagements. As she moves into her new role, she is looking forward to continuing her own professional growth while helping foster the positive, collaborative environment that is so important in the challenging and dynamic world of public accounting.

Her advice is fitting for anyone navigating their own career journey: stay curious, remain open to feedback, and embrace challenges because they often become the experiences that lead to the greatest growth. Martha’s personal philosophy is equally meaningful: “Be a good person first; everything else follows.”

Alexandra Miranda | Supervisor

Congratulations to Alexandra Miranda on her promotion from Senior Accountant to Supervisor!

Alexandra specializes in audit services, with a focus on low-income housing and not-for-profit audits. Her philosophy of taking things “one day at a time” reflects an understanding that meaningful growth happens gradually, with each day bringing another opportunity to learn.

As a Supervisor, Alexandra is looking forward to deepening her expertise in Single Audits while also helping newer members of the team develop their skills and confidence. She encourages others not to become overwhelmed, to ask questions, and to remain open to new learning opportunities.

When she is away from work, Alexandra enjoys trying new baking recipes, finding a good cup of coffee, and spending time with friends and family. We are proud to see her take this next step into leadership and excited for everything ahead. Congratulations, Alexandra!

Hannah Parker | Senior Accountant

We are excited to congratulate Hannah Parker on her promotion from Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant!

A member of Bowman’s Tax Department, Hannah specializes in individual and entity tax preparation. As she steps into her new role, she is looking forward to taking on increasingly complex projects and continuing to strengthen her technical expertise. One of the lessons she would share with others is simple but meaningful: find a good mentor.

Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys reading, hiking with her dogs, and horseback riding. We are proud of the progress she has made and look forward to seeing her continue building her knowledge and confidence as a Senior Accountant. Congratulations, Hannah!

Trevor Lightsey, CPA | Senior Accountant

Congratulations to Trevor Lightsey, CPA, on his promotion from Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant!

As a member of Bowman’s Audit & Assurance Department, Trevor is excited to embrace new opportunities, expand his knowledge, and continue challenging himself in his new role. He also recognizes that growth rarely happens alone. His advice to others is to be willing to learn, ask questions, communicate, and lean on the valuable knowledge and experience of the people around you.

Tia Szkodzinski | Senior Accountant

We are proud to celebrate Tia Szkodzinski on her promotion from Associate Accountant to Senior Accountant!

Tia specializes in Client Advisory Services and bookkeeping, providing ongoing accounting support to Bowman clients. Her new role will bring expanded responsibility, including a higher level of review and oversight within the CAS team, supporting newer team members as they develop, and continuing her work with one of the firm’s largest clients.

Outside of Bowman, Tia is a busy mom of two who enjoys spending time with her family hiking, biking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, and playing softball. We are excited to see her continue growing as a trusted resource for both our clients and her colleagues. Congratulations, Tia!
