Activity Spotlight: Giving Back Through Our A.R.C.H.E.R. Initiative

Some of the most rewarding time we spend together happens outside the office. Whether we are walking for heart health, packing food boxes, or sharing lunch with local seniors, these opportunities bring us closer to our neighbors and to one another.

This September, we are highlighting our A.R.C.H.E.R. initiative and the team members who put its purpose into practice. Short for Advancing Resources, Community Help, Engagement and Responsibility, A.R.C.H.E.R. brings together our commitment to community service, sustainability, and responsible use of resources.

Here is a look at some of the ways our team has been getting involved.

Walking Together for Healthier Hearts

For the fourth consecutive year, Bowman participated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. Our team, “Let’s Get Fiscal,” raised $7,062.34, finishing sixth among the event’s Top 10 fundraising teams.

We are proud of that accomplishment and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. From those who walked alongside us to those who donated and encouraged our team, every contribution supported the American Heart Association’s work in research, education, and healthier communities.

Returning to the walk each year has become a meaningful way for our team to spend time together while supporting a cause that touches so many families.

Caring for the Angeles National Forest

On September 8, members of the Bowman team joined the Takataka Club for a cleanup along Angeles Crest Highway in the Angeles National Forest. Volunteers worked together to remove trash and debris from the mountainside, helping protect the natural beauty of an area enjoyed by so many.

We were thankful for the chance to lend a hand and thank the Takataka Club for bringing volunteers together to care for this shared space!

Supporting Neighbors Through the Stockton Emergency Food Bank

Members of our team recently volunteered with the Stockton Emergency Food Bank, donating food, packing boxes, and helping distribute them to local individuals and families.

The Food Bank began in 1968 when six women came together to help people in their community. Today, its work continues to provide essential support to neighbors facing food insecurity.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to lend a hand and see that work up close. Thank you to the Food Bank’s staff and volunteers for welcoming our team and for the care they provide to our community every day.

Sharing a Meal at the LOEL Senior Center

In July, Mark, Tatiana, Trevor, Edgar, and Whitney volunteered at the LOEL Senior Center, helping serve lunch and spending time with local seniors.

The visit offered a chance to connect over a meal while supporting an organization that provides care and companionship to seniors in our community. We appreciate our colleagues for sharing their time and the LOEL team for welcoming them.

Continuing a Tradition of Service

Bowman has been part of the Central Valley community for more than 75 years. Through A.R.C.H.E.R., we continue to find ways to care for the places and people around us.

Thank you to our team members, the organizations that welcome us, and everyone who supports these efforts. We are glad to be part of this work and look forward to more opportunities to serve together.
