Employee Spotlight: HR Services led by Edward Hernandez, Chief Human Resources Officer

Meet Edward Hernandez, Chief Human Resources Officer, who oversees Bowman’s internal HR operations as well as our HR Client Services. He supports clients across a wide range of areas, including employee relations, compliance, talent management, workforce planning, leadership development, recruiting support, compensation reviews, HR audits, and overall HR compliance.

Edward specializes in developing solutions that create the best possible outcomes for both employers and employees. He takes great pride in the culture Bowman has built. The firm was recently recognized as a 2025 Best of the Best firm by Inside Public Accounting and as one of the Top 50 Best Accounting Firms to Work For in the nation by Accounting Today. Before joining Bowman, Edward directed HR operations for several global organizations. His experience spans a variety of industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, property management, and public utilities. Throughout his career, he has supported HR operations across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and the EMEA region.

Known for his thoughtful and collaborative approach, Edward believes strong communication and active listening are essential to building successful organizations. By understanding the needs of both people and businesses, he helps develop strategies that support growth while strengthening workplace culture.

Outside of work, Edward splits his time in San Diego with his longtime partner of over 24 years. He enjoys outdoor activities, exploring local coffee shops, wineries, and breweries with friends, and traveling whenever possible. One destination he always looks forward to returning to is Greece, where he enjoys the food, the ocean, and the relaxed lifestyle.
