Michael Anselmo

Michael joined Bowman & Company, LLP in 2024, bringing nearly two decades of experience in tax preparation, consulting, and estate planning. He specializes in helping businesses in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and professional services optimize their tax strategies and financial processes. Michael is a licensed CPA in California and has built a reputation for providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to his clients.

Before joining Bowman & Company, Michael held senior roles at several firms, including Iacopi, Lenz & Company, Inc., where he served as a Senior Tax Manager for nine years. Prior to transitioning into public accounting, he spent 18 years as a Corporate Manager at Long’s Drug Stores Inc., gaining valuable business and financial experience. His expertise includes business restructuring, intercompany financial planning, and tax-efficient estate strategies.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Arts from Diablo Valley College. He is currently pursuing further studies at Golden Gate University.

Unplugged

Originally from Long Beach, California, Michael now resides in Stockton, California, with his wife and their two dachshunds. He is a proud father of three daughters, all of whom are married and thriving in their careers.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting. He also has a deep appreciation for literature, particularly The Unseen Realm by Dr. Michael Heiser. A fan of Yogi Berra’s witty wisdom, one of his favorite quotes is, “It ain’t over till it’s over.”
