Briana Valenzuela

Senior Manager

Briana is a Senior Tax Manager in Bowman’s Tax Department. She joined the firm in 2026, bringing more than 14 years of experience delivering federal, state, and international tax compliance and consulting services. Before joining Bowman, she worked at one of the largest tax firms in El Paso, where she advanced from intern to Senior Tax Manager and advised closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals on complex multi-state and cross-border tax matters.

Briana has extensive experience serving closely held businesses, real estate groups, transportation and logistics companies, family-owned enterprises, and multinational operations, particularly those with U.S.–Mexico cross-border considerations. She is known for delivering practical, solutions-oriented tax planning that supports long-term growth, operational efficiency, and generational wealth preservation. Clients and colleagues frequently rely on her for international tax guidance, entity structuring, and proactive compliance strategies. She has assisted multinational clients in implementing U.S. reporting processes, advised real estate investors on cost segregation and depreciation planning strategies, and identified planning opportunities that significantly reduced state franchise tax liabilities for operating companies.

She holds an AICPA International Tax Certificate and is licensed as a CPA in New Mexico.

Briana earned her Bachelor of Accountancy and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from New Mexico State University in 2011.

Unplugged: Briana grew up in La Union, New Mexico, a small agricultural community in the Mesilla Valley bordering El Paso, Texas. The area’s strong sense of community and agricultural roots helped shape her values of hard work and perseverance. She and her husband, Daniel, whose family also has deep roots in La Union, currently reside in El Paso. Outside of work, Briana enjoys reading, taking road trips with her husband, hiking, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with family. She grew up performing traditional ballet folklórico and flamenco and still enjoys staying connected to that cultural passion.
