Emily Terry, CPA
Manager
Emily is a Manager in Bowman’s Audit Department, where she specializes in serving governmental and not–for–profit organizations. Since joining the firm in 2019, she has progressed through several roles and built extensive experience with financial statement audits, Single Audits, and compliance testing for organizations that receive federal and state funding.
Her clients include governmental entities, housing authorities, tribal governments, and not–for–profit organizations. Emily works closely with these organizations to evaluate internal controls, navigate regulatory requirements, and address complex accounting and financial reporting matters. Within Bowman, she has also become a go–to resource for Single Audits, valued for her ability to work through detailed requirements and help both clients and colleagues understand what needs to happen next.
Resourceful and dependable, Emily brings a thoughtful and practical mindset to every engagement. She believes good client service means more than just completing the audit. It means communicating clearly, offering solutions that are genuinely useful, and leaving the organization in a stronger position than where it started. Her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning have helped her build trusted relationships throughout the firm and with the clients she serves.
Emily’s interest in accounting developed naturally through her enjoyment of solving puzzles and understanding how financial information comes together to tell a larger story. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of the Pacific and is licensed as a CPA in California.
